Welcome to my site. Now what to write for the first post!
Currently, I'm working as a PR and Comms Manager for a startup in San Francisco, which after joining decided to move its HQ to NYC. While it was a tempting offer to pick up and move to the other coast with them, I still wasn't done with what San Francisco had to offer.
This has been top of mind lately, as that means I have to find a new job in a few weeks. So today, while working from home (as the office has already moved to NYC), I began my search, scanning the many job sites of Indeed, Glassdoor and Linkedin.
I am excited about what the future holds for me in my career, which door will open up next, but I haven't yet found the perfect fit. I want independence but a structure that keeps me to my deadlines, a place that I can be mentored and find close friends - and an environment that is fast-paced - I'd rather be working hard than bored as hell at work.
I want to find a place that gets me excited in the morning and that leaves me feeling accomplished at night.
Writing it now, it seems like a magical land, a little too far out of reach, but that is one of the many reasons why I started this blog - a place to figure out what I love, uncover what makes me tick and keeps me going.
And so my journey begins and tomorrow will be another day of hunting down that perfect match. But for now, I'm off to make dinner - Wild mushrooms with chicken over pappardelle noodles and grilled asparagus - a recipe out of Ina Garten's Foolproof Cookbook.
That and a few glasses of wine.
